Statistics: Business confidence rises in processing industries Sep

MOSCOW, Sep 26 (PRIME) -- Russia’s business confidence index increased by 1 percentage point on the year in processing industries in September and fell by 1 percentage point in mineral extraction, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Thursday.

“The business confidence index, which reflects the generalized state of entrepreneurial behavior from September 2018 till September 2019: fell to 0% from 1% in the extraction sector and rose from -3% to -2% in the processing industry,” the service said.

The economic situation in a company was deemed positive by 13% of managers and satisfactory by 74% of managers in the production of raw materials, while the figures for the processing industry stood at 11% and 74%, respectively.

A better situation in the next six months was expected by 22% of respondents in the mineral production industry and 27% in the processing industry. The number of optimists in the mineral production sector exceeded the amount of pessimists by 15 percentage points, and in the processing industry by 19 percentage points.
